You gotta be kidding me! They removed the only real reason to buy this game? I bought the first one just to play local co-op, Why in the world would they remove it from the sequel? What a bunch of idiots!

Was going to buy the first one (and eventually this one) to play with my gf, not so interested in either now that they decided to ♥♥♥♥ us for no reason.
This game is very strange when it comes to its multiplayer suite.
- it has split-sceen (only for consoles), but only for co-op campaign (not for competitive modes)
- it has LAN for PC, but only for the competitive modes (co-op is online-only)
- it has an offline competitive mode, but only for single-player (both PC and consoles)
- offline competitive play has bots (obviously), yet the multiplayer variant lacks bot support (making the mode(s) dead without a community)...

lol! I dunno what they were aiming with with respect to the MP component of this game. It's worthless in single-player, yet limits co-op to online-only (PC) or split-screen / system link (consoles). It's probably partly why this otherwise unique TPS failed -- it alienated too many demographics with its strange design choices.

If a game is co-op / MP centric, it should endeavour to offer such modes of play in as many ways as possible. Not limit it arbitrarily, as this game does. Fin.
