Doesnt even launch now

"updating game executable" my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass this used to launch before now it doesnt even work, take this down if you pay 10 bucks to not even be able to launch it you talentless NFT hacks at Square

it didnt work for me but after unninstaling and reinstalling with the settings applied it worked

For me the solution was to check that the game folder in steamapps common had read only unselected.

set the launch option to -dx10 then it should work

hahaha, the game will never work for infidels. the goes the same for everyone else.

After trying a couple of things mentioned here or in reddit, I managed to get it working by deleting some of the smaller files on the game's folder (including the executable). After verifying and redownloading the files again and launching the game, it installed some DirectX thing and I could finally start playing

Set to 640x480 resolution in compatibility tab, Problem solved!

it's because you don't have openal installed, install openal
