Invisible weapons

I`ve looked around the internet and some people say the weapons come back after a restart or verifying game cache however I have done both theese things and yet they remain invisible, I have also tried deleting the half-life source folder and that didn`t fix it either...Help?

I think you should try to verify the integrity of the game cache.

I never did fix it so instead I got Black Mesa. It`s great.

but it only works for Windows because Source SDK( + Base 2006, Base 2007 ) are only available for it.

i have this problem after steam converted my half life to half life source. i cannot switch back to crow bar after picking up the first handgun in the game. is there a fix?

Old thread but still no answer? This problem is even worse in vr. all I have is a cursor but it's easy to lose track of. I need to see my arm and weapon for fast response. How can this go on for so many years without a proper fix
?

Because Valve are lazy and don`t want to fix something and I think this problem isn`t very common
