Elevator Bug

I'm on the We've Got Hostiles chapter and I've reached the elevator near the end of the level. However, I press the arrow button inside the elevator and nothing happens. I've seen people deal with a similar glitch before, however I haven't found anyway so far to deal with this. Can anyone help?

Reload from the start of the level.

I have exactly the same problem. I am running Linux Mint 8.1 nvidia gtx 1060. I reloaded the level but nothing to do. The elevator does not move when I press the button. A scientist is accompanying me. I notice a lot of script error in this version of half-life. I often have to restart the game to continue. The other half-life versions no problem.
