Is this worth playing with the fixed mod?

well i just mean with the fixed mod, i wouldnt play without because of chance to experience seizure

Get the up scaled remaster then apply HLSfix. There are a couple of glitches but still enjoyable. But there is BMS original 2020 versions about the half life flavour but better models and reshade graphics.

is this black mesa? ive looked at the mods and cant find it, looks really cool though!

yeah it's a remix of black mesa, but uses the original half life story and levels.

If you want a different experience. Play Azure Sheep, HTC, Echoes, go moddb there are loads.

Thanks to half life source: fixed i can now give my opinion:

-If you want an original experience go with Half Life
-If you want a enhanced but still original experience go with Half Life: Source (with this mod applied)
-If you want a reimagining with modern graphics and level design go with Black Mesa

It is not an original experience. The clear water allows you to cheat. Not very original.

Cheat what? The water looks better anyway, that's an improvement for me

You don't need to use the crossbow for the fish. You can just shoot at it from above the water. And the water doesn't fit with the aesthetic.

The game is a simple port from Goldsource to Source. Obviously, only water and physics were changed for the better. Yes, the water does look weird while surrounded by low quality textures but my point still stands. As for the fish, you could've also used the glock or spam grenades and satchels. Nothing is different to me
