Unfortunately, the soccer mechanics didnt seem to make it into the story mode for the demo. I'm certain there will be plenty of matches in the full game, there usually are in Inazuma games.

This is the first game in the series to have a manager as the protaganist, so they're trying new things.

Story in the demo doesn't get to soccer matches. You can play them in the other mode however.

The only game that made it to the americas previously is the 3ds remake of the first game so of course they're going to use the European terminology where the series is more popular

The first chapter in story mode doesn't have soccer matches. Play the competitive mode.

You must be stupid if you don't know the demo of the story is there only for the story, if you want to play football then go to the menu and choose the other mode, so stupid you can't find it by yourself or just farming Clown points?

Inazuma Eleven is a football RPG, it's the appeal. For dedicated football matches, you got the Competitive Mode.
I admit that the rock paper scissor mode will take it's time to win me over, but I like the appeal of having mini battles which is the confrontation with NPCs.

I'm sure in due time the story mode will have plenty football matches, and much more than that from what some trailers show!

Haven't played the full story demo yet, but I doubt soccer matches are happening until after the club/players are established. There are mini overworld soccer duels in the previous games, but In this one it's a rpg rock paper scissors, which honestly I understand the complaints, just hope it's not a focus due to how drawn out and needless it is.

Dude, this is more like Final Fantasy than Fifa.
They summon fire, engulf the ball in it and shoot them at the keeper.
The keeper summons a creature to enhance themselves or fuses with other players.
