SPOILER - Stuck at "making electricity"

Hi,

So I'm stuck. I'm at the part where I have to make electricity in Gulliver's workshop. I have made the hamster wheel and put it under the water pipe. I turned it on and... nothing.

Am I missing something? Because I have done all the dialogues and I can't find anything else to do. Need some help here.

Yeah, I'm reaaallly stuck. I just watched a video on youtube and did the EXACT same steps as the guy did in the video and it worked for him, but didn't work for me.

Ya there's nothing else I can do or find. When I turn the water on, character says " I think I've almost got it. I'll just let the water run".

And nothing else. It's weird because after watching 3 videos, they all ended up the same way: Wilbur puts the hamster wheel under the water, and then he unplugs some sort of "wire" and plugs it into the hamster wheel. Well for me, he doesn't unplug that "wire". He just put the hamster wheel under the water and turns on the water. And then nothing.

I'm pretty upset. 40$ and I'm bugged half the way in.

Yeah basically I'm "missing" the power source, but I have it. It's the homemade water wheel... Whatever.

Syd - Your help is appreciated, but I don't want you to go through all the game again just to give me a save. Thanks tho.

Yeah this is disappointing. I am also stuck at this exact spot.

According to another thread, the issue seems to be if you combine the inflated tube with the waterwheell and then connect it, the game will not allow progression from here.

The solution appears to be to make the waterwheel WITHOUT the inflated tube, which when connected will then trigger the next section of dialogue between Wilbur and Gulliver.

I'm not sure how something as obvious as this could have been missed during the Early Access testing over the last few months ( considering it seems to imply you are meant to use the items this way ), but....there you go.

It might have actually been added as bug after it was one already tested correctly, e.g. a new dialog option or whatever.

Btw. thanks for the information. Addingthe influated tube afterwards worked.

Does anyone happen to have a savegame file that is near the beginning of this underground section?

I can't be bothered going from my last save....it was literally hours ago!

Should be just before I inserted the inflated tube. If I didn't get the wrong savegame.
However, playtime seems to be "minus" :)

I think it is because I played up to the end of chapter 1 in the Early Access but then waited until the final version. Not because of bugs but becaue of possible optional quests and such.

Not sure, however, how Steam behaves if you add an additional savegame. I think it asks if you want to keep yours from the cloud or your local ones...
