The Book of Unwritten Tales 3 maybe?
It's been quite a long time since TBoUT2, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to play a 3rd game.

Any news about that?

Literally just finished the game - Was disappointed by the horrid cliff hanger - I looked at as many things as I could find. The company is releasing a pretty large game it seems in Sept of this year. Last I saw anything about them mentioning a third game was after they made one called Shakes and Fidget. They stated on their kickstarter that this is a test run and the point and click adventure games weren't in a good place and that was their test. That was in 2017. So here we are now. I am sad...

Don't get me wrong though I'd love for a third so I know what happens but good lord.. to leave it on a cliff hanger like that with no intention of finishing the story? T_T

I'm afraid that won't happen - I'm not sure if this games sales lived up to expectations and they tried a Kickstarter for another point and click comedy but it didn't generate enough revenue. They advised it would have to happen to help fuel the next part in the series.

Its really a shame that a 3rd game is unlikely. I feel like these developers actually understand what made the classic point and click adventure games work so well. I haven't played many modern point and clicks that managed to cast the same magic as the older ones but this certainly did. I hope one day we get to see the third game.

I agree completely. I've played so many point and clicks that just don't have the same magic of the old ones and for a long time I assumed it was because I had grown older and nothing could capture the feelings of a point and click from my youth... and then I played the Book of Unwritten Tales games and I was proven wrong. They were every bit as good as the games I had grown up with. Its such a shame developers as talented as this aren't given the chance to finish this great series.

There is a third game https://store.steampowered.com/app/221830/The_Book_of_Unwritten_Tales_The_Critter_Chronicles/ but it's before. Another game in the series would be awesome...
