Game keeps crashing after the red pirate, and hes outside, the critter is moving everywhere, played 10 times and always at this point, Any ideas please?

I had the same problem. It is best to not click on items to walk and look at them but first walk into the general area and then click. The critter still wriggles around a lot (path-finding seems to be totally broken on that screen), but at least finds the right spot after some while. Still some patience needed.
