Now of course that doesn't mean software uploaded isn't a buggy mess with security holes.. but the initial threat of malware\miners is pretty low.
Not so long ago a game had malware on it and it went under Steam's radar. [www.bitdefender.com]
Wasn't this because the malware came with an update after the game got released? .. Perhaps I got it wrong.
I didn't say it was impossible, I just said the risk was low. My understanding of the game you posted, only 1 Virus scanner initially detected it, which is a problem for any new viruses. So yes, you are right someone CAN make a brand new virus that is not detected by anything, so if you really want to make sure nothing dodgy is going on.. all you can do is wait a few weeks and see if anything happens. Even then you don't know if some future update slips something dodgy in later.
Here's the devs steam page: https://steamcommunity.com/id/lucid11interactive (their friends are public, you can see likely other devs too.) They are from Turkey perhaps? Not sure.
Here is the publishers website: https://gamedev.ist/en/ -- they've covered other games that are relatively large indie hits and ultimately prove that this game is pretty unlikely to be some kinda weird scam. Still cannot be certain so I'll wait until more people play it lol.
