Ending B Bug?

I believe the only thing needed to trigger ending B is to buy the crowbar, I was able to get it without entering the Director’s office and K still thanked me for tossing the doll away.

I'm confused, I played the game and finished it on November 6th without buying the crowbar and got the B ending anyway, I did the game twice to get both endings and still no lever, just the baby hit the trash and then I was in jail and blah blah blah. My friend just told me that i bugged the game that day because that's not possible so I don't understand. You can even see my achievements of this game, I have both endings without the hidden achievement (go to the principal's office) and get all the papers
