Love the old Dinamic and Hewson games: )
Either I was just that terrible at the original game, but I don't remember it having stores... Are those new?
I'm not only happy to see Phantis get a remake, but a great one as well.
Phantis didn't have stores, or any upgrades, really (the only two that were in it was a gun, as you start without it, and a rapid-fire upgrade that made almost no difference). It also didn't have bosses or secrets, or alt endings - but it was still one of my favorite games of my childhood.
Edit: woops, look like it's the same game.
First of all, the game is a copy of Phantis the same way Volgaar is a copy of Rastan Saga and Gunlord is a copy of Turrican: It has some more than passing similarities, but is otherwise an entirely new game.
Secondly, as I mentioned in another post: I have contacted Carlos Abril, the creator of the original Phantis, during the development of Ultionus, and got his blessing for the project.
I loved Phantis and Freddy Hardest when I was growing up, and the reason I made Ultionus was precisely because I really, really wanted to play a new game in that style.
Also, if you enjoyed Dizzy-type arcade adventure games as a kid, check out my other game - Mystik Belle.
