Why is the Reddit so toxic?

The Brighter Shores reddit is pretty toxic. Feels like 80% of the people on it have negative vibes. I'm hoping there is some sort of official forum, or just a dedicated space to talk positively

there is no way i will ever read reddit or twitter posts. for me steam forums seem about it, but that's ok, i don't really need information that often. but i do remain curious about why reddit is annoying and twitter is an absolute void of anything good, an absolute swirling toilet bowl of disingenuous stupidity which makes reddit look good. i am too lazy to spend effort on finding out why that has happened, but it does cross my mind from time to time

It's not really much better here, tbh. Steam discussions are often unmoderated messes.

And for some games have toxic mods that will ban anyone that says something they personally disagree with.
