Proposed solution to Detective
Crime den raiding is too strong. It needs a nerf.

I am getting 9.2k exp at level 111 investigation from a level 83 crime raid. It should be more like 4-6k exp, not 9k+. I would go with 4-5k.

I would also remove the fact you can afk for 2-3 minutes for each den. Combat isn't afk like that and requires clicks/attention, otherwise you log out. I don't get why it's like this.

Buff investigation exp. My level 89 investigation give me 12k exp at level 111. It should be 16k+ honestly. It should be THE WAY to train detective as it requires you to navigate the map and investigate the crime scene. If you call out the wrong person, you get ZERO exp. There is a high risk so you have to make sure you do not mess up.

Buff catching thieves @ stalls a bit to make it the go to chill and relax method of training investigation. It was very likely intended for this, but crime den raiding is so afk + better exp + gives combat exp that there is little reason to do it.

And most importantly, make the player invulnerable after an encounter in crime den raiding. The game does this for the majority of fights (certain quest fights don't do this, but they are a one off fight). This would remove the afk aspect.

Overall, crime den raiding would turn into the combat you know and love, where you need to click on your next enemy to actually attack and thus gain exp. No more afking for this method.

Crime den raiding would still be a great way to level up when you unlock them. However, it is devaluing other methods of training while being the least effort/intensity training method out of all the methods investigation has to offer. I should be doing crime den raiding at 83, until level 89 or 95~, and then switching to investigations for the most optimal exp. It would be a good boost to combat exp/investigation exp for a few levels, before you should probably try something else. How it is currently hurts investigations too much and without any changes, 500 watchwomen and 500 detective will be just afk/noob capes.

Would love it if these changes hit the live game. I dislike detective is just afk for 2-3 minutes instead of solving cases or catching crime if you want low effort.

EDIT: Crime den raiding becomes even stronger once players get amulets, get special attacks, and free trade comes. I am using a level 84 epic mace. Imagine If I had a level 115 epic mace. I'd promp stomp them so fast. Watchwomen impacting investigation exp so much is imo bad. Probably why the investigation exp needs to be nerfed in half probably.

EDIT2: I just got 112 investigation and investigations only give 18-19k exp. So 2 crime den runs. It's actually close, but it's better for me to do investigations after 29 levels of afking crime den raiders. However, if free trade existed and I had the ability to buy a level 115 mace from players, I would just keep doing crime den raiders and powering through them. It is better currently in the ironman state of the game to kill 110 enemies for exp + gears so you can afk devious smugglers, the level 121 crime den raids. Lol... At the same time, I might just keep afking to 121 and then do monsters, as they will be easier to kill and I can just buy some blues from the armouror (or easily get them from drops) and tank them due to my high watchwomen level.

Going to cancel your vote. I like to have the option for a semi-AFK profession for when I want to semi-play. If you want more grind, there are many many many other professions you can jump on. If you don't like den combat being AFK, take your combat to non-aggro mobs.

Sheesh, one teeny tiny portion of one tiny tiny percentage of professions and you blow a gasket.

Personally believe we need even more content like raid dens. Active afk and multiskilling activities are mostly lacking from Brighter Shores, and raid dens does both of them simultaneously. The main reason it seems so strong is it is the only no resource pure exp multiskilling option in the game, so it has no point of comparison as there is no other option to compare it against in Brighter Shores.

Compared to OSRS, multiskilling 'no resource' activities are often the best overall exp rates in the entire game. Things like Trouble Brewing, Drift Net Fishing w/ delete loot, and similar are not only some of the best exp rates for their respective skill, but also give a huge chunk of exp to at least one other skill.

why do you want the grind to be worse?
