This happens on every minor game that releases; devs want to please the players so they listen to the playerbase, but they make the mistake of conflating the playerbase with the discord when those two things couldn't be further from each other. I've seen so much potential get pissed into the sink because discord cults ran the game into the ground.
Just roll it back, and let people distribute their exp to whatever chapters they want within the first 4 and admit they killed their game.
Once episode 5 comes out, it won't surprise me if I have to grind 100-200+ levels to even have the new mobs around my level to defeat for experience.
If andrew just released weapon specials in december/january as planned, and did everything else as planned, this game would've been better. But nope, we spent 4 months on nothing.
The same should’ve been considered for combat. Having combat profs each episode with unique traits and/or playstyles would’ve been a fresh, interesting take on the old RPG class system.
We’ll just have to see what phase 2 accomplishes, but I’m not holding my breath.
