Brighter Shores

no more faith
sadly i will no longer be continuing my journey on brighter shores. ive given it a good shot but it doesn't seem like the game is progressing both story-wise and development-wise. since i started about 1 month ago there has been no new content added and judging by the update logs there hasn't been any new content added since it release, just making alterations. judging by reddit and steam it seems like there is a lot of negativity around this game for many reasons and its hard to keep playing when a lot of the negative or critical comments about the game are actually quite true. the player count has dropped and continues dropping and likely will not stop and it doesn't feel worth playing when no one is here playing with you like stephen nuggets. it really feels like its on life support and sooner or later the plug will be pulled. although i did play for a month, i dont think i had fun once honestly, i was just playing because it was a game by andrew gower and was just a habit to keep going. looking back there really was no point to anything i did on the game, there are no mmorpg features and the communication from the developers is awful.

good luck to anyone remaining on here, i hope the developers don't just string you along and i hope you actually are enjoying the game instead of just trying to keep a rank on the leaderboards. back to my pvp clan on osrs.

The fact is that making an MMORPG is just too ambitious these days. Nobody has any money (or time). Development is expensive and needs to be constant and frequent. It's just not sustainable in this economy, and the skillsets required to develop something like this well just isn't available anymore. The world has changed for the worst. I applaud the Gower brothers for trying again, and wish them well.

I mean, why would you play a Repetitive, Boring and Bad game,

when you can go and play a Good, Challenging and Exciting game.

Pretty easy choice my dude.

This guy gets banned and comes back to keep hating on the game.

You think about the game more than people who actually play it lmao.
there is literally thousands of hours of skilling to do. if u cant wait a month or two that's a you problem.

if you actually care an update is coming next week, they have been slowed down because they have the stupid new uk laws to get compliant with and they also just moved into a new office and are working on hiring 6 more people.

but you should quit cuz if what is there isnt good enough then the game isn't for you.

I don't blame you, it doesn't feel like this game has a bright future for shore.

Thanks, I kind of cant for my life understand how ppl waste precious moments of their life spending it like that. Granted I can arguably be stupid but I hope I try to move the bar forward!?

I bet you anything this guy has posted 20 or more farewell threads on the Runescape forums over the 20 odd years of its existence and I guarantee he still plays that too.
gaming died with gran turismo 2 and final fantasy 7
What "point" is there to any game?
