player base falling
Let me start off by saying i love this game and think it has alot of potential. its scary that on a friday night and we only have 800 players playing. i think we need a market system and trading needs to be implemented. Also i think we need guild inside the game and we need group content. after all it is a MMO and its missing the community aspect of it. we need dungeons or raids Hopefully we can see these thing implemented in the next coming months.

It's because it's boring. Let me make the number go up so I can watch the number go up. There is literally nothing else. At the end of all the numbers going up you get a 8-pixel cape to put on your 8-pixel character. Change my mind.

yes, its lacking most of the things they initially promised as a sales pitch.
But look at No man sky, there was lots of the same lack of 'truth' telling, now they have an average /hour of 15000+ bc they did what the Fenreseach team do now (I hope) It was a vision and dream but the players tells then No, that's not it. Exactly why they do early access.

If there is a problem here (to me is a major problem/bug) is that info and feedback is dead. Since 23 of January. This is 2025 dammit. The only excuse is that all hands are on deck, even the community handler,

But. What I learned working 22 yers at a manufacturer of high end industrial electronics is that problems and delays and muck ups are fine as long as you stay in touch and are always credible and deliver at the new agreed time and place.
This is why i'm deeply ashamed on the Growers team behalf.

Another bit of food for thought: Who do 'they' see as customer?
Not me, and I've already payed.

No mans sky had a fall from ... 200k?!? to 2k, in that regard Fenreseach are doing good as of having a magnitude less in its 'fall from grace'

I guess that lots of whats going on everywhere is: a bear pelt is already sold by marketing but the product is only a rabbit pelt, and the semi agreement it that it will become a bear pelt later, maybe

this game needs so many things it isn't funny. Trading right now is nearly pointless. There are very few things worth trading and with everyone trying to trade the same item it will be almost impossible to get a good price. This game needs a bigger variety of items. Different potions. Possible food used for buffs. Bosses that drop rare items. It will take a long time to get the things we need at this rate, but trading should be last.

Guilds will make the game more social. That would be really good.

with a chat system that is limited to 1 room , it was going to lose a lot of players .
whats the point of an mmo?.
if its not the ability to chat ?
i understand there may be a trade chat coming , but that seems a way off,
this is the first thing they need to address , not spending time reworking combat or adding quests , both which may be welcome , but it is frustrating to view a conversation , then have to move out of the room to do the grind , to return 10 seconds later and it is now finished because they also had to move out and grind . what does that do ?
it means people dont bother starting a conversation ?

a massive online game where people dont talk ?
impossible .

biggest failure in this game .

It is an early access afterr all, remember.
What amazes me is they thought they only needed 3-6 months in early access. To me it feels like the whole game as it is, is a collection of place holders.

If the player’s base keeps falling, they might want to construct more pylons.

Everyone capable of logging in needs to pull their own weight and log in on the regular. That means Friday nights and days and evenings on weekends consistently and that's just a start. The devs have enough on their plate. The player base needs to step up.
so the player base is the problem?

This is a game, I'm not going to pull my own weight like this is a job and "step up" for leisurely entertainment.

Have you considered that the player base falling is probably due to people completing all the available content and not bothering with the game until new content is released. After all this is an EA release.

I will soon join the 'not playing' community in a couple of weeks as I will have completed all the current content on all 3 of my characters, unless, of course new content is added.

The people who complain don't even play, so no.

You probably don't even play either and if you do then I seriously question your commitment to this game. This is basically 2001 RS and we're fortunate enough to get in on the ground floor, but instead of showing the devs gratitude for everything they've done for us all some people want to do is complain.

The game's straight up bad. Andrew really should pull this game off of steam and work on a re release if he knows what's good for his project. This game needs at least 2 years more dev time and/or double the staff or it's never getting anywhere.

bro for me its the world design, everything and everywhere is a room. The world is also split up with "chapters" which is not appealing because everything is disconnected... i cant force myself to play this anymore.
