Chef's request - A bounty D&D for cooking
I'd like to see a version of the bounty board that offers a non-stop stream of bounties with a diminished reward, for those who want to actively work on the profession without just doing mindless stew spam for hours on end. You wouldn't get to choose what bounty you get, and it would cycle every 5 or so minutes or instantly if you complete it. The head chef would announce what the order is so nearby chefs don't need to stop what they're doing to check. You can use any quality but using lower quality than your level gives an "easy" penalty. Some requests require a delivery which acts like an ordinary bounty in both mechanics and reward, but you can skip this and gain the ordinary reward instead if you want.

"We need an order of 4 Cod and Chips, pronto!"

Chef bounties are sadly already close to optimal xp(actually worse for people who do not plan/stack them which I believe are actually a majority). If you were making infinite bounties with less return with current balance, it would nudge players into doing something that is subpar and nothing is worse than "struggling" for 4h and noticing that you could have got the same result in 2 with less efforts.

Maybe they can do something like this for Crenopolis. Yeah yeah, "screw F2P players" and all that, well, whatever lol. I'm picking Crenopolis because it's a big city and actually warrants having a takeaway delivery service compared to a small port town - and because I want to see prior skills freed from their singular episodic boundaries, so they can be useful outside of the episode they feature in.

A new building added in a future update where you make new kinds of foods, and people order complex orders on a perpetual bounty board which is similar to the Merchant bounty board in that new orders come in very frequently, not every hour.

Here you'll be packing entire orders into bags to be delivered or something. With food items cooked in Crenopolis which have a little twist on the regular thing.

Say someone orders Pineapple Pizza, Egg Fried Rice, Garlic Mushrooms and Pie'n'Mash. You buy the ingredients from some dude and make those just like you do at the Delectable Dab, whatever they might need, and when you've made them all you use an interactable object which is essentially a shelf filled with infinite bags, and presto! Your cooked foods get combined into a delivery bag.

Then you just run to an NPC within the confines of Crenopolis (or maybe even further beyond, like game wide?) and your XP is like 5x the usual XP per item cooked, plus a bonus based on how fast you complete your orders (freshness bonus) plus the distance, whatever. Some kind of calculation that makes it worth doing anyway, I'm not good with numbers.

Maybe you'll earn a tip if you deliver the food quickly. Maybe your Chef skill will grant access to bigger, thicker bags so you can deliver bigger orders at once for even more XP etc and the freshness lasts longer.

Maybe this will create a dynamic where some players try to deliver one or two fresh orders at once, and others will literally fill their inventory with 24 bags of food to deliver in one big sweep for massive chunks of money, XP and KP at once, not caring about the bonus tip. I dunno.

Maybe the freshness mechanic is dumb and overcomplicated and can just be ignored lol.

I realise the Merchant profession has people ordering meat wraps, pizzas, etc but that's more like cunning merchants taking advantage of an opportunity, you're flipping items by taking advantage of supply and demand in that sense. It's a bit different to cooking up entire orders of food and delivering them across the world.

Okay then, instead of delivering food across the world, why not just have it based in some snooty restaurant with impatient customers? This would even work in the Delectable Dab itself actually, although I still think Crenopolis makes more sense.

Constant orders are coming in, and your fancy food preparation skills are needed to quickly make complex meals and then waiter them to NPCs in the restaurant. They're basically like constant, rapid firing bounties with a time limit attached to them (and if you mess them up, you'll lose some cash, just like if you arrest an innocent when training Detective skill).

Stay cool under pressure, cook a bunch of food in small batches, bring it out to the table before they get annoyed, get bonus XP / cash / KP if you do it quickly and accurately?
