Items dropped directly under your character can be used in recipes, and the output will be dropped to the ground if your inventory is full.

Five second rule my friend, five second rule.

And as time doesn't seem to pass or move forward at all in Hopeport let alone Adothria itself, I guess we can extend that five second rule indefinitely.

No need to contact the Hopeport Bureau of Health and Safety about this, I assure you.
