No news, so just wait.
I don't think we needed a combat rework. A lot of changes have happened in which I disliked and I feel were a waste of time to do, such as "fixing" the pathing @ crime den raids, which made it feel awful to train now compared to before, as you cannot queue your movement command as you are about to barge through the door.
If brighter shores fails, it would be due to lack of direction and constantly changing things up instead of believing what you think is right and adjusting while moving FORWARD, not going backwards and redoing things.
Doubling down and ignoring the haters was the only clear path forward when it came to EoC and 12 years later, RS3 is still alive, well, and now stronger than ever. Some people are just too stuck in their ways to accept progress, so they're constantly looking at things from their own narrow-minded backwards lens. The best thing you can do is to just ignore them and drag them kicking and screaming into the future, if necessary.
Nah, leave them in the past. They're like those old folk that are so set in their ways that nothing will/can ever change their minds and they all die on their own hills. Best to leave them to it and keep moving forwards without them. They're basically like the extra useless baggage that nobody wants, or fruitcake as a present during Christmas that nobody wants.
I'm playing rs3 right now for like 2 weeks and i almost never saw a player.
I wouldn't call this game in a strong state when osrs legit has tripple the playerbase
Hopefully they won't listen to ppl like you.
For each area's combat profession, they could add end-game bosses and/or some co-op activities that are specific to that area and it's own combat. The combat skills that are yet to be added can be handy when/if said bosses come in as a way to make the fights more interesting since with the way the system is now, it would in fact be dull. With the way they're currently separated individually, along with the way your gears are also separated, a system like that would actually be fun if done properly. They'll definitely need to work on the gears and stats system, for sure, because as-is and as stated by a lot over the duration of the game now, the gear is next to useless in most cases. Especially if you're F2P, because the gear makes little to no difference in anything at all except your appearance depending on what you wear, and if you even have it visible.
I personally don't want the combat system to be changed to be ANYTHING like any other game if it's going to take away from the original thought 100% because, to me, i want this game to remain as much a separate style playing experience as possible when compared to any and all other games of the genre.
My idea here may be a moot point to most of you, but hey, at least i've given some sort of suggestion that ISN'T based on other games.
