Easter Event

Looks like one will be happening (supposedly said on Discord)

Time to let FOMO flow through everyone, collect everything, then log back off for a couple months yet again.

Andrew (and his community manager) have said since last year that they plan to do holiday events for at least the big three holidays: Easter, Halloween, Christmas. It's been hinted this second event (Easter) will be more involved than simply collecting hats, though I imagine that part will return, including the trading.

It was nice to see the main square of Hopeport bustling with traders last Xmas, so will be fun to be part of that again.

Hopefully none of it is FOMO. I was semi-okay with Christmas having FOMO items specifically as a thank you for early supporters, but I’d rather see the events be more about participating in an event as a community, and the collectibles kinda being more like decorations you pull out each year to celebrate, that any new player also has access to.

I think maybe you just lack imagination.

Idk, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out lazy collectibles that are FOMO just to force people into logging on during the event, is lame to me. Hosting themed holiday activities with community participation where everyone is dressed up, sounds like a great time.

I don't need to do another rant in every thread mentioning seasonal events about why I think FOMO or exclusive event items kinda suck, so I won't

They really should make them obtainable by new players though. Alienating future players ain't so hot.

Heard this event will be more than just earning hats randomly as you play, so I'm looking forward to it quite a bit. Should be fun and hopefully involves a bit of a quest or such.
