Aesthetics serves literally no purpose so idk how thats a good reward. I want to hit bigger or be protected better. This game is going down a fruity route. Not a fan.
Also seeing people walk around in cringe outfits is an eye sore that ruins immersion
No walking billboards with rainbows and particles and ponies and groomer-esque outfits everywhere.
I don't mind cosmetics from events and things, or even special decorative costumes and outfits that you earn and wear, but me personally would rather not see people fighting bosses in pyjamas or whatever with particle effects flying in every direction.
Sadly this game doesn't have unique gear like a certain other game does so there's really no need to identify someones equipment for sanity or otherwise, so I can see transmog being a major thing going forward. Probably a planned rare boss drop too.
Seeing as we can transmog every armour piece, it's probably a done deal already. Well I hope it's reined in a little, like random event outfits or gnome scarves and berets and all of that stuff from a certain other game, just neatly stored within a menu you "always have with you" instead of stashed in some bank or chest somewhere, right?
Please don't let the game turn into grim reaper skeletons leaving particle effect trails behind them and smouldering footsteps with furry tails and burning pink eyes and weapons turned into giant plastic rainbow toys
Id rather not have giant robot unicorns in a classic fantasy setting.
I do hope it avoids going to FFXIV route, though, where people are wearing modern day outfits.
And wtf? Aesthetics serve no purpose? Really? You are going to say that in 2024 when that is just factually incorrect? People buy things just for the looks. I care about how my character looks in this game.
I am looking how I want while benefiting from the armour I am wearing. Nothing wrong with that.
Saying they won't prioritize gear looking good due to transmogs is wrong. That is the OSRS mentality kicking in, where any mtx/transmog system is bad, because then the game will make game look ugly/not care too much about the details of armour because they want to sell/make cosmetics.
There is no MTX system in this game besides subscription, so I doubt what you say is true. It is based on fear rather than facts.
You say "I just hope it doesnt meant there wont be unique armour and weapons. Im sick of the current system. Its worse than starfield"
I doubt it. There will be option probably but I doubt a level 500 boss weapon would have 0 effort put into it.
I personally think the games cosmetics should fit the game. You can still have cute maid/school outfits, but not a banana suit or something weird like that.
Also @Greb, a pajama outfit would fit the game though. It's not like pajamas didn't exist in the game. Why can't we have pajamas in the game for a christmas event reward when we can just have default clothing on right now and fight level 300+ mobs?
@Sir seal - That is quite the exaggeration.
@pyro I agree. I don't want a 2024 outfit that was just a fad in this game lol.
Normally I'd agree, but BS is pretty boring visually. The muted colour palette and generic creature designs don't excite me one bit. It needs a splash of creativity.
