Why do the coins I am earning go down and not go over 1000?
I see my coins balance it at say 950, sell an item for say 500 and instead of going to 1450 it goes to a lower figure like 300. Why is it doing this?

Because 1000 copper = 1 silver.

I'm curious what people think the silver icon next to their copper is, because this is not the first thread on this. You'll notice that shops have items priced in silver, too.

ok, that makes sense. I am surprised I did not figure that out myself since I am usually pretty good with observations :steamfacepalm: thank you for answering so fast!

1000 Copper = 1 Silver

1000 Silver = 1 Gold.

Not sure if 1000 Gold = Anything but wouldn't surprise me either way if it gets converted or not but considering how easy currency is to make especially if you rush a skill (mostly combat) to high level then it'd probably need to be done sooner rather than later.

You're not losing coins they're just being automatically converted every 1000 to the next "tier" of currency automatically.

It's a pretty standard coin system, I think? Although other games do it in groups of 100 and not usually 1000.

Copper, Silver, Gold coins.

1000 Copper = 1 Silver
1000 Silver = 1 Gold
1,000,000 Copper = 1 Gold

You're surely not missing the acquisition of silver coins as your copper coins move up and down, right? Though, I guess physical currency is basically a thing of the past these days, and additional currencies are often MTX garbage in video games, so I guess you could be forgiven for not immediately understanding what was going on.

Essentially though, your copper coins are aggregating into a silver coin, which will eventually aggregate into a gold coin, as you acquire more and more of them. It's to simplify your pouch, I guess.

I know it's a bad faith interpretation but i'm just laughing my ass off imagining you being like "guys I had 8 on my calculator then added 3, now I only have two 1s. Where did the rest of my number go??"

It's just a turn of phrase, nobody is actually doing anything wrong or in any position to forgive or condemn anyone, calm down lol.

And read more books or something while you do so..

Wow, Like I said, I am usually quite observant. SIMPLE oversight, get over your rudeness!

Yes, the trowel is 46 silver, day light robbery if you ask me. Ive done a lot so far earning coins and only have 36 silver, and its 46 silver for a trowel just to go do a very low level forage!

Trowel is indeed daylight robbery, lol.

honestly, the items you HAVE to buy upon certain levels are all ridiculously high when the time comes to buy them. but, doing stuff like cooking and selling the food in return, and/or doing bounties at level 9+ can easily gain the money needed/spent on these items, as well as keeping you busy with gainz in another profession as well.

I hope it does. I always like when games use platinum or iridium
