For the Moment, Only Weapons Matter

And in essence, weapon crafting will be much more important than armor crafting.

Even as I get better and better armor, you hardly notice a difference in survivability. Even when half of my gear is almost always an orange epic.

Conversely, the moment I get a weapon upgrade, say from a 59 rare to a 79 epic, the damage on it pretty much increases by 50%, and you can immediately feel the difference in killing speed.

In summary, a good offense is a good defense. Armor is only as good as your best weapon.

But weapons are so effective that even if you took all of your armor off, you will likely still be just as healthy as before.

Just as an experiment, I took off all my armor. I went from 52% to 39% deflect. 95 combat. Fighting 84 zombies. Still destroying them with my 79 epic weapon.

That kind of sucks. I really liked in Runescape that armor mattered even if I rarely wear good armor. You can not even lose armor in this game yet they made it irrelevant. That is pretty dumb. I feel like Dark Souls inspired people the wrong way on this topic for some really bizarre reason. Maybe I would understand if I developed more games.
