Like I've got Foraging in Hopeport but Gathering in Hopeforest, but it's basically the same thing. Likewise Guard in Hopeport but Scout in Hopeforest, and it's the same thing. Also my combat gear isn't "tuned" to the Obelisk here so it's substantially weaker. Damn.
I'd understand a skill that enabled me to understand how to fight special creatures unique to the Hopeforest itself running alongside a typical combat skill, but not like, depowering my equipment and combat power because I entered a new zone.
Reminds me of Cubeworld, was it? That game was anticipated for a long while and then flopped massively on release because of region locked equipment. Damn.
Don't know what to make of this, been looking forward to Brighter Shores and a nice MMO to sink my teeth into, but this system feels kinda...whack.
Bad enough we have potentially three characters to juggle, but each character is going to have to handle potentially 5 areas of levelling and stuff as they go along?
Feels kinda bad, man.
* some spot for fishing (puffers / eels) the shop is 1 area away so simple fish and sell .
If you are fishing mantas / flounder, its miles away. Better off taking the xp hit and staying on puffers and swap between eels when you hit the level swap.
Not really a fan of the Soft reset in new areas either.
Some requirements in Zone 2 are a little much. I feel like you are meant to stay in Zone 1 a lot longer than some of us are doing. IE: make more gold / level more and enjoy Zone 1 before rushing to Zone 2.
Considering some of the MSQ / side quests want you to be lvl 25 fishing or 50 alchemy to finish the quests
And ALL you morons on this post that have done need to learn how to REDACT and STOP posting spoilers!!
It's an early access game and people are providing their feedback, many with hopes that the concerns will be addressed with changes or at the very least, an explanation of what vision the developers had with a controversial game mechanic. Saying that people shouldn't rant or share their thoughts about a game because it's negative does more harm to the game than good.
The post title also very clearly references the Episodes so it was kinda your own fault for being spoiled (idk on what though not like they talked about the story or anything here) about a game mechanic since you clicked on it.
Yeah i feel ya. Like i also wrote...after the briefing i took the wrong turn and got killed by a Level 2 Goblin. That means i have to kill those Level 0 Bandits first to hopefully get new gear.
No Thanks...so yeah thats it for me and this game. Maybe they will change the concept but if not...i dont see a bright future for this game.
