The skilling system is incredible and overlaps with other skills in a very satisfying way. I like the story so far. Graphics looks really nice while still being the low-poly style character models and minimalist overall look. Very fun grind with a lot of rewards and achievements to go for.

cursebreaker doesn't have the charm, it just feels like its trying to copy runescape, brighter shores actually feels like its from the creators of runescape

you people really need to calm down, this game is and never was meant to be a replacement for runescape or anything, andrew said he is not a fan of early access but he'd like to show what he created so far and I am enjoying every second so far, 33h+ in and counting nonstop

As you see, Andrew already reacted to the community, he is very active and boy does he listen to his players.

You better leave the game for now and come back maybe in a few months or when it leaves early access? Early access games are not for everybody, early access still means beta or for some even alpha. Let Andrew cook and come back another time <3

Anyways, Cursebreaker I tried it in a demo, the game itself felt cool but dude I was so lost LOL at that time I was also really sleepy lol maybe that was the reason, I should definitely play it again

Cursebreaker ended up in my recommended section after I tried out brighter shores, and I can tell you, after trying the demo for a solid 40 minutes, I just bought the full game, it doesn't matter if the multiplayer is just social, this is the runescape inspiration I wanted and needed.

I tried teh Demo of that. you have an extreamly small bag space capacity, you can not store items, you can only drop them on the floor and they despawn after 30 seconds. if you need it again hunt the mats and make another but be warned you will have to dump somethign else. Most items do NOT stack so wood, bones, meat, everything 1 item 1 bagspace.

Quest was to obtain 5 deer antlers i must have killed 30-40 and still not had an antler, i had meat, i had bones, brain and something else but never the quest item.... i gave up on that quest, it was painful killing the things since they always ran from you and i was using the bow.

In fact most the quests at the home i skipped by doing the banquet, ended up in a graveyard where i was constantly having to drop everything on the floor (you carnt sell nothing). partway through the dungeon i just said ahh F this, its annoying as hell, extreamly limited, why drop or give loot when your goign to drop it anyways.

So that segment is basically the tutorial. I also felt constrained with my inventory at that point. But after the intro tutorial, you're given a house with basically unlimited banking and an extra sack to hold 10 more item. There's also a pack mule you can get to hold your stuff and even bring it to the banks for you. A lot of mats do stack such as herbs/veggies. Some mats like bones can be broken down and stacked.

You can right click enemies to see drop rates. The antlers sounds like bad luck. Selling isn't available until the first city where there's a general store. Other stores will only buy what they specialize in, such as a sword to a weapons vendor.

the closest to runescape and this is actually Wakfu. it has all the things these games have, implemented better with the option of even crafting your own crafting stations and taking it with you in a portable bag that functions as a house where you can chill, craft, or even use for farming, it has way more variety of activities you can do (besides the 14 professions u can master), better fast travel, you can earn a subscription pretty easily too within the first month. and the combat is actually challenging and fun, similar to final fantasy tactics.
