Keyboard only?
I despise developers who think they know better.
So glad I didn't pay for it, then find out this oversight.
The Manual say's mouse is an option, but, apparently ... that's all changed.
On a brighter note: you could always 'have a draw yourself, and pass the game on to someone ambidextrous. :D
Uninstalled shortly thereafter. Sorry I even wasted the bandwidth.
Games like this should be listed as "Partial Mouse Support" to warn people.
I really don't need developers dictating my control setup.
True, dat.
thats quite dissapointing....
have had my eye on this game for a long time...and just seen its 1.00 during this summer sale, was about to grab it...glad i have sense enough to check forums first....would be a dollar wasted.....not that a dollar really matters....but still...
And yes, you can use the mouse to look around.
So to say, it takes about half an hour to finish a task you can see at the very beginning needs three things done just because of the no-play-tested controls!
I won't say its a bad game, just painstakingly frustrating at the progress level (check youtube for help) just because of that.
The story is rather good, so, well....
Why are you talking about something you have not even tested? The game has mouse support and left/right mouse buttons are bind to pull/push telekinetic glove. Why would you want to bind the main attack/interact buttons to something else?
I don't buy those games. I happen to win this one before I realized this dev has done exactly that. So, now it sits in my Library uninstalled.
Ok, here is a puzzle for you.
Game has following controls:
0. Crouch
1. Move Up
2. Move Down
3. Strafe Left
4. Strafe Right
5. Jump
6. Pull objects / Interact with object
7. Push object
8. Quick save
9. Quick load
10. Menu
Tell me how you would bind those to your mouse and keyboard? (The game has many problems, but for me controls are not one of them)
It's moot anyway as I have removed the game and am not looking back.
right mouse to move forward???
ive been playing games on a PC since before Doom....and, lets face it Doom was the beginning of this genre the game in question belongs to....yes yes Wolfenstein came first blah blah...
ive NEVER encountered a first person game of any type where you walk forward with the mouse button...how did you even start doing that? too lazy to play with two hands?
when i first seen this thread, you actually convinced me to NOT buy this game, during the summer sale....because i thought the controls would be horrible and it would be difficult to get used to playing due to that....but as it turns out, you made this thread to complain about YOUR obscure personal need for something thats quite far from the norm...
now i regret listening to you...the game isnt 1.00 anymore...
theres a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of games out there that arent going to let you walk forward with the mouse button....
you should edit your original post so that people dont think theres no mouse at all in this game....the way i took it was that the game was played COMPLETELY from the keyboard...
you should fix it, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...
These are computer games, not console. I do not need devs dictating to me what config to use.
And BTW, I've been using this config and playing games a lot longer than that... Since before most people could even think about affording or even wanted computers. Before Commander Keen. Since before mice even had three buttons. Hell, I had one of the first two button mice ever made.
The point is, I should be able to set up my controls the way I want. Regardless of what anyone think about how I do it.
