Cozy Caravan

Cozy Caravan

Flossy is a thorn in my side
No sooner than I return them to Basselbrook and leave to look for someone else to help, the next town I land in starts mentioning that Flossy has wandered away from Gilligan (again) to X location. The problem? It's often the location I'm currently at and there is NO Flossy. For example. I was at Hershey's Homestead. And the NPCs are telling me "I heard Flossy was in hanging around in Hershey's Homestead" Well I'm here. and I do not see them anywhere at this location. So I'll leave and come back and they'll repeat the dialog and Flossy isn't there.

Another Issue I have had from the start has been with the dialog box not matching up with the character who is speaking, while driving the caravan. As far as I'm aware, unless it's changed, Bubba doesn't speak in full sentences. but in my game, sometimes he does. with the Dialog name reading Bubba up top, the dialog i think is supposed to be coming from my character, not Bubba. Sometimes, the Name displayed in the dialog box is from the last character I talked to before getting on the road. Like Dill. for one. They aren't riding along. They just happen to be the last one I interacted with...He's not the only one. It's happening with other characters too.

I wondered if anyone else had these sorts of issues.

Absolutely having the same issue, as well as some other pet peeves I plan on writing up here in the discussions.

Flossy appears as a hitchhiker a few days later, from what I've noticed.

As for the speech bubbles, same! I noticed that also, Bubba's speech bubble will sometimes have the name of the last NPC I spoke to before getting onto the caravan. Or the hitchhiker's name.

I came here wondering if it was just me. Flossy has jumped the pond and I don't see them anywhere. I was told they were at Wheatly's Lodge. I can't find them. Asked a npc and they said Flossy is by the river. I wave everywhere (in case Flossy is invisible for some reason) and don't see them. I hope whatever final fix the devs did to stop hitchhikers from locking out input doesn't have to get undone to fix Flossy.

Okay so I was able to find Flossy by going back to Fellowood Acres. Took me awhile to find him, too.

I just found flossy at Basslebrock after looking everywhere for them because they weren't where people were saying they were in game. They were right next to Gilligan but they were still holding up the sign, easiest trip back home ever though 😅

Flossy will continually be lost...it is the nature of Flossy.

If that is the case then I don't think I will ever be able to complete the quest about the stew. No one in Hershey's Homestead will talk to me about anything but Flossy being lost. Okay - I return Flossy, by the time I make it back to the Homestead they're missing again (next day). And then there was a bit of time where they mixed in info about Laurel and Yanny and the dress and Jean Claude. Okay went off and completed those quests. Return to the Homestead and we're back to repeated info about Flossy being lost. I think I'll just give up on ever completing the Stew quest and Flossy can stay forever stranded wherever they are now. If anyone does mention anything about the stew it's all colour of autumn or oh I'm not one for recipes or knowing anything...etc. I got info about two of the ingredients at the beginning of the stew quest but the third has never been mentioned. So yeah, I'm just going to give up on that altogether I think.

I had the issue of Flossy being in two places at once. They were visibly in Fellowood Acres, , but I couldn't talk to them. Then I randomly ran into them in another town, with their little Hitchhiker sign ready to be taken home. So, I guess they possess some weird psychic powers apparently. :lunar2019laughingpig:

No need to give up on that. You just need to talk to the relevant NPCs (Bramble, Dazza and Winnie) at the homestead, and follow up on the clues they give you. If the they indeed talk about Flossy, try talking to them twice. That should trigger their quest dialogue.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I promise I had spoken to everyone in the entire area, including the NPCs you've mentioned, many many times over in an attempt to get them to trigger the correct dialogue. They would not. It seems the new update might have solved the problem so I'll try again and hopefully can finally complete this quest.

That does sound like a bug then. Hope the update fixes it for you!

Hmm, that sounds odd.
Submitting a bug report over on our Discord would be fantastic.

That's very strange. Yeah as Malus said, if you could share your save file on our Discord, that'd be really helpful.

Thanks!
