Feedback after playing for a few hours
The game is really fun and feels polished. But there are a couple of balancing issues that are really souring the experience for me.

  • Auto aim should be a toggled option. I know there's a Kwent card, but it feels terrible to waste a slot. And on top of that there's a 5% ATK debuff for some reason that should not be there.

  • There are way too many dead runs. It's extremely easy to mess up your build early in early game, just because the necessary skill or item never shows up. I'd say in every 2nd run I have to take one or multiple skills I have absolutely no use for. If this happens two times, you can basically just start over, since you'll never get the super weapons and it becomes impossible to complete the level. There needs to be a big bias towards the combo pieces of items you already have. And we need way, way more rerolls and banishes. I'm currently at the last snow level and I still only have 1 of each. I feel like I should have at least 3.

  • I'm not sure why passives that combo with the weapon of a different character even show up. There's no way to make the super weapon, so I never want to take them.

  • Weapon balancing seems really off. There are super weapons like Holy Bombard and Soul Sonata that feel like they are not doing anything. Meanwhile,Swift Dagger and Multi Air Blast are clearing entire waves on their own.

  • The effect of some of the stats is really unclear. I don't understand what the difference between ATK and DMG is supposed to be. How does DEF work? What is the difference between Damage Interval and Cooldown Time? Seems like the same thing. What exactly does Duration do? I have no idea which weapons are affected by it and which aren't.

  • Projectiles are really hard to see when the entire screen is cluttered with effects. Also, there are way too many of them. Now I know this might be a hot take, but I would honestly suggest completely removing every single projectile. I don't see the point if you already have all of these telegraphed ground attacks. Most of the fun of the genre comes from mindlessly slaying thousands of enemies. Constantly dodging projectiles like you're in a Touhou game takes away from that and just isn't fun.

  • Having to click on each achievement to collect the gold, and then move the cursor and click on the confirmation, is a lot of wasted time. There should just be a "Collect All" button.

  • I think you didn't normalize movement speed, which means that you're moving faster if you're going diagonally. Might be intended though.
Hope this helps in some way or another.

This is right on and a bunch of it just annoys the crap out of me

Ill add a little feedback after playing for some hours:

1. Too easy at first and when coming to The Serene Desert the difficulty spikes like crazy. In the serene desert I struggle to get past the 6min mark with a fully upgraded character while it was pretty much a walk in the park up til then.

2. The mini-bosses are way too strong and they should have some kind of way to show how much HP they have, like a bar over them/bar at the bottom or top of the screen.

3. Its very difficult to see things in game, I can stand right on a ring according to the map but I still need to run around looking for it, trying to find it. Being able to turn off damage numbers and lower the effects a bit would be nice, too.

4. Being able to change the bindings. The map button is placed pretty stupid on the controller and Id like to have it on B for example.

5. Auto aim without having to use a kwent-card.

Might sound like I only have negative things to say about the game but thats not the case.

Am I the only one that feels that for some odd reason bosses takes less damage?
They sometimes take regular damage and other times only take 1 or 2 points of damage.

I just want to add that while I agree with a lot of this, the net sum of all of this game's parts far outweighs whatever the complaints are here. This game has way more going for it than the vast majority of garbage survivor titles pushed out on a daily basis, some of which - like a game I ran into a couple days ago - even contained nefarious elements in their code. So I'm very happy with this game so far overall and am enjoying myself.
