The trilogy was pulled from Greenlight.
No point in buying this prequel if Aldorlea doesn't sell the rest of the series here.
I'm hoping for an announcement.

Yeah, I recognized the artwork, but was confused at why this wasn't called LF.

Actually, this game didn't even go through Greenlight because Aldorlea got a publisher for it. Steam doesn't need a game greenlighted if it has a publisher, so the trilogy may have been pulled because of the fact that greenlighing wasn't necessary.

It looks a lot like a game made with RPM, but I have to say, despite that it looks really good. Far better than what I've seen most RPM games look like.

I think that this game is worth the try. 3 Stars of Destiny is a prequel to the Laxius series and is stand-alone. I see no reason why you guys shouldn't buy it. The game has great characters, nice graphics, lots and lots of quests to complete and funny characters along the way. Oh, and it's by the same people who created The Book of Legends which was highly praised here on Steam.

i'm not sure how much i should trust an account that has no games, no friends, and only one item on its wishlist to tell me the truth regarding 3 stars of destiny and the laxius series as a whole which have a multitude of problems, from the pedophilia to the rape to the misogyny to all sorts of things. i really can't imagine this game is any better than the rest of his laxius games considering all of them have been the creator's self-insert fantasies of being a strong, beloved man who is "very dominant" and has a party with various "extremely submissive" women in it

Well, I've got lots of games and a few friends here on steam and I think this (and the other Laxius games) are great. They are a wonderful throwback to the early Dragon Quest (Warrior) type games. Also, complaining about sexist content is pretty funny considering your avatar.

my avatar is from laxius force because it's such a badly drawn picture that i can't help but laugh at how terrible it is. i disagree that it is in any way a "wonderful throwback" to the early dragon quest type games since it is at most a superficial resemblance and nothing more. it has nothing of the actual design from those games and is instead filled with the developer's poor writing. also the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ drawing of his waifu in a bikini used as my avatar hardly makes of his decision to make a game series that often incorporates sexualized violence against women as its plot points as an acceptable thing to do

OK, whatever. Troll on...

no please explain why it's totally okay that the plot of the series can be summarized as "the bad guy tried to create the ultimate dragon by kidnapping the main character's elf girlfriend and trying to force another dragon to rape her after injecting her with stuff that makes her super powerful and also super submissive with extra plans to torture her after the rape so that she would become an emotionless weapon"

Based on what I've read in images of the game, the writing is the most poorly done thing I've seen in a serious commercial product, and the art is the 2nd most poorly done. How could it be great? How could it even achieve the levels of mediocre?

as much as I think the humor in the breath of death and cthulhu saves the world games is relatively hit or miss, the gameplay is definitely fun since they set out to make a fun battle system out of the retro style first person battle systems of old. i also find it hilarious when people liken the dev's games to things like dragon warrior when dragon warrior had actual thought put into its design. in dragon warrior, nearly every single npc served a purpose (said purpose being to guide in some way, whether by suggesting places to go to, places to stay away from, and things to do on your quest). the battles were also balanced around the player having very few actions they could do and making sure the player leveled up and learned what monsters were in which areas and how best to deal with them (which generally came down to "level up and then use the hurt spell on enemies and the heal spell when your health gets low" because the game make it extremely obvious what your magic and abilities actually did). I would honestly liken the old dragon warrior games to the king's field series on PS1 which eventually evolved into the Dark Souls games. ie games that may not have the deepest combat, but what combat is there is intuitive and the game is built around you exploring the environment using clues you get. this is entirely different from the ham-handed methods the developer of this game series does where he often just throws stuff out into the world and expects people to be able to find it (or pay for a guide in order to find it) with no actual clues from anywhere in the game as to how you could find any of this stuff. it wouldn't be as big of a deal if it was just minor easter eggs or secrets or things like that, but well over half of his games is hidden away behind these kinds of unintuitive barriers where you're just expected to do all kinds of strange ♥♥♥♥ solely because the developer thought of it and therefore everyone should be able to know what he thought of. I noticed he did something similar in the book of legends apparently where for a particular boss fight some people reported losing 2 of their characters. the dev's given reason was that said characters have big egos and therefore can't see the boss. this isn't hinted at anywhere in the game as far as the people playing the game could tell so they just ended up in a battle that was more or less unwinnable because half of their team was missing because the developer thought up a new gameplay mechanic to introduce without actually telling the players. his suggestion to fix this was to reload to an earlier save and not use those characters for that fight.

whooooole ton of words. sorry but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i just don't wanna see anybody else accidentally expose themselves to these games. i'm not kidding when i say they're soulcrushing to play through.

Dragon Warrior 4 was epic, this game is NOT.

I won't go that far but III was fun (For some reason I have a strong urge to play the games in a long series out of order so I started with III) and with the site I bought it from going out of business I would like to have it on a site where I know that won't happen like Steam.
