I ran around the first level (Prologue) for 20 minutes without encountering any monsters. Is this a bug or an attempt to get people to play two hours so they cannot refund anymore?
It might be that the prologue can only be run once since its so easy but I cant say for sure because I only played it for a few minutes so far.
Unfortunately this is not the case - I abandoned the run after 20 minutes of absolutely nothing happening and started a new round which led to the same tutorial pop-ups and an empty map again.
2. Please add a confirmation before overwriting an item.
3. I kind of hate the part where you have to destroy your items to equip new ones. It makes me not want to experiment for myself because I might lose too much power by getting rid of a good item and have to re-farm lesser difficulties again. Instead it makes me want to just go in the Discord and look up a guide someone else already wrote to make sure I'm using the best gear. I don't mind having to pay some sort of currency to switch but destruction is so harsh.
Thank you for your contribution.
I think you are right. We will be able to unsocket Items on upcoming updates.
(would also be nice to see what the skill does before u equip (atm no way to look what they do)
2. Shop/Black market (for selling items , more ways to get items ) , refreshs every run with a lock for item you maybe want^^.. )
3. Map xP for seeing treasure (+ buffs item find , dmg , cd (but for sure more important is a map xD first xP)
4. New mode (later) (with enemies modifier new lot maybe consinder runes or matriel for items. sorry i always say in everygame with loot runewords haha :D (runewords has a nice effect but to balance it in this game maybe with a downside for buffs for enimies hitting harder or new anyoing monster spawing thats up to u :)
4.1 Blacksmit (upgrading or dismantle items)
5. talent tree (but this would only work with a new mode so maybe Future stuff hehe :)
(to be continued)
2. A way to unsocket the items without replacing them, got reandom sets/items that doesn't "fit" the hero just cause of this.
3. Adding a way to use the money in end-game for example: buy upgrades on items elither increasing the stats or the tier of the item, maybe also be able to add prefix like vamp ect
4. A mode/diffulcty that just keeps getting harder for each completed run amp monster dmg and speed with 1-5%
Loving the dash spell, adds alittle to the tactic of the runs. Maybe each hero get a different kind of movement spell for example:
Wraith king - Switch places with one of his minion
Paladin - spin attack that increase the ms
Assasin - dagger dive, dive forward either twisting her daggers or throwing in a cone/circle
Slime - Jumping forward and does splash damage when landing
Wizard - teleporting a fiexed distance forward by a portal, portal draws nearby monsters to it and at destination creates electrical sparks
Necro - Summon a big monster and rides it forward some distance knocking monsters aside
1 - A larger bag ( because I lack space lol ) ( that we increase with gold )
The ability to equip/ remove equipment.
A search function
2 - A talent system per character or a common level tree for all characters.
3 - New map ( desert , mountain ) with their own bestiary.
Just wanted to add a couple random and unsorted suggestions.
I was wondering if some new "maps" or rather tilesets are part of your plan so far.
Or if you would still consider this.
A couple of classics such as castles, deserts, sewers, swamps, or a snowy mountain ridge
would clearly make things more appealing to me for a far longer time.
Whats most likely to kill the game for me faster than necessary, are 2 things.
1st of the limited stash. Just WHY? Why not just have 9999 slots?
Dont tell me you were working on diablo 4 before this please^^
At least let us buy tabs like in PoE but with gold.
Would also create a new sinkhole to dump your gold into.
Being able to waste our money for more than just buying new gear would seem like a nice addition in a long run.
NOTE:
Im not 100% sure about all of the following myself yet. Will update as i play.
My 2nd issue is basically that the game starts TOO slow. movespeed, APS/CDs and so on.
It just feels slow to a point where its no fun.
Im trying to be fair here, only comparing it to similar titles which i play a lot of.
And im really missing the usual mete progression for several reasons.
Please consider adding one of the usual meta progression sections.
I know would be a major change.
And ofc i have no idea how much more work you planned to put into this game etc.
But if you can, please at least give it a thought.
OR alternatively give SOME things a major rebalance.
If nothing else, it would be at least another way to upgrade things, waste some gold etc.
The usual standard answer to this kind of suggestions is usually "thats not what we had in mind for our game / we wanted to do something different than title XY" or some like that.
Which is ofc perfectly fine IF it works.
But atm. we are imo suffering from some of the same issues that "DmD" has.
The lack of a proper meta progression section is showing only bc theres nothing that properly replaces it.
My guess would be, that you wanted a more (a)rpg approach of things.
Which is a nice thing imo.
I still like the IDEA in DmD aswell, but the execution lacks.
Decent (a)rpg titles have plenty of other game mechanics etc. that replace the bulletheavens/VSclones meta progression thingy.
And thats exactly what we are lacking here. A well balanced replacement for a missing mechanic.
Across all levels including the early ones.
Again, or alternatively balancing things in a way that makes the meta thingy obsolete.
Brotato is a great example for how i guess, but you sadly cant just copy paste random things from 1 game to another and hope it still fits in well.
Anyways, just a few thoughts, keep up the good work, and maybe just more or less ignore the last part for now.
- inventory : way too little space , we need at least 10 more pages for storing the items
- auto loot on clear : we should get auto loot on death too
- treasure goblins : on torment i played with slime and killed 3 treasure goblins but got 0 gold/items from them
- ressurect : we need items with ressurect skill , 1 life is kinda hard on torment when you get 1 shoted at level 97 with Slime wearing the full Crimson unique set ...
- bosses : who are the bosses in the game ? the big spiders, the big winged demon fella ? make them look different so we know who they are.
- map : we really need more maps ( maybe a winter one with frozen lake where you slide on it , nest maze map that spawns insects from coccons , sand type where quicksand traps you for a sec or so if you run over it , huge graveyard where zombies/skellyes spawn from coffins and from killed living mobs , murky swamp/forest where there are spots where you get lower movement speed , volcanic region where you there is lava and you get damage over time when you step on it , etc. ) , and also a minimap in a corner would be nice
- item : we need more loot and more set items and more type of skills ( " inspire " from moba games like LoL, Dota - i would really like a skill like poison trail of Singed to use on the Slime character - , etc. ), also aura skill would be nice to have , like DoT aura ( poison, fire, etc.), curse/buff aura.
- achievements : more achievements / be creative
- UI : we need better UI and add more stuff like option to show in numbers the health of our char and bosses at least , add a "codex" to see the mobs/bosses in menu , add skill/attribute /stuff to upgrade with gold in menu for characters and maybe for mobs to become more challenging with better rewards as well, option to not show items with power less than 1k-2k, etc. after a run
- Characters : not only wee need more characters, but the existing ones needs to be modified as well ( I only managed to get to Torment difficulty with Slime, with the other characters i cant even beat Nightmare , if you have less than 6 movements speed on a character you die on higher difficuty ) and each character should start with at least 4 skills ( maybe the starting items on each character should be unique and cant find them in maps and have like 2 skills on each of its item , also each character should have 10 item slots - 3 N/A occupied by its starting items and 7 for us to put items in them, also you should be invulnerable when dashing
- price : if you add those things as a patch / expansion you can raise the price to 10 $ and i would gladly pay the difference of what i payed for it , but atm this game is not worth more than 2-3 $ if nothing is changed and its a shame because it can be a very good game.
Characters :
Paladin : ok-ish skills, ok-ish tank
Archmage : maybe it needs to have 4 skills , 1 of each element ( fire, ice, lightning, wind ) ?
Assasin : its ok
Shaman : boulder skill sucks
Necromancer : good character
Wizard : good skills, really bad movement speed
Lich : umh isnt a Lich a better Necromancer? why use fire skills ? rename the character into Pyromancer and make another Lich character that uses zombies or stuff like that
Chemist : again the boulder skill that sucks, maybe add more mine / trap / skills
Skeleton King : overall ok
Slime : the goat character in this game !
Anyway thank you for the game and i really hope you consider my ideeas . Best of luck !
