They were more useful in the mobile version where drop rates were much slower, but you want to do them ASAP since it's guaranteed gear cores. HOWEVER, I would avoid doing apex ones until you're overgeared, the helicopter isn't that bad, but the radar base thing is an extremely tough fight. Especially if you end up fighting it into the night, which you probably will cuz it's like an ~8 minute fight, and the spawning wilders will ignore the Apex and team up with them against you.

Oh important second thing I just remembered.
Some of the new PC exclusive items that let you get the premium MTX upgrades for storage and the robots from mobile are in those world missions. So you want to explore the entire maps of each one and loot everything.

the first lvl area is 4 so if you can handle level 4 area fine you should be good

Full green gear on your entire squad is what I reccomend, but you could probably do the wilder areas with mostly whites still and green weapons.
