These are traditional file types, and so yes. Codec saves can always be a question, but mp3, wav, and midi are files that this very lite version of Acid has always been able to understand.

That is, there's a million variations of an 'mp3', there are so very many codecs. In the past, a person would buy Quicktime Pro for only the codec use. Perhaps this practice hasn't changed much.

Maybe you did not understand me. I am interested in the issue. For example, I came up with the melody. Then he wrote the melody on tape through a microphone. This tune will be in the format Wav. Next- Can I then open the wav-file with my melody in the program Acid Music studio 10 and make (convert, or save, or export to folder in my computer) the MIDI-file (my melody)? I need open the MIDI-file (my melody) in the program REASON or Cubase for next work (job) in sequenser. CAN this program convert my Wav file to MIDI -file (mid.)OR NO ? p.s. Sorry for my bad english.

It isn't possible to take an audio file like a WAV or MP3 and convert it automatically to MIDI data in ACID Music Studio 10. ACID does offer the ability to compose in MIDI directly, either by manual note-by-note entry or by recording with a connected MIDI device.

Thanks for the answer. It's very sad. I am disappointed. This is a serious musical program like Acid Music studio 10 Sony, can not be an elementary function for working with music files. It is very strange. I mean simple but very necessary function for the musicians, which offers, for example, the program <Intelliscore>, and many others. It's a pity that Sony can not .. p.s. Sorry for my bad english.
