ACID Music Studio 10 - Steam Powered

ACID Music Studio 10 - Steam Powered

Program is stuck searching VST Plugins at Start-up
First off, this is a regular Sony Acid / Vegas issue that easily happens.

The last time I used the program, I did a VST search, but didn't have the right directory selected and set to search the entire C drive instead of a folder on that drive.

This is what I've tried so far:

- Reinstalled 3 times, along with deleting all of the local data on both my C and D drives before reinstalling.
- Tried removing the XML files before loading.
- Cleared out all general registry errors using Spybot
- Entered in NODXGROVEL and VST/NOVSTGROVEL in the Launch options for Steam.

Any suggestions??

This is an easy fix, I had the same problem. What I did is goto the directory where the error message indicates and remove the offending vst, I move the entire directory elsewhere. I had 5 vst's that where causing an error. Afterwards it loads just fine. Eventually, vst's from other music programs I reinstalled to get that particular vst back in the vst directory and it worked just fine from then on. Hope this helps you.
