Frozen at the end of the first dungeon scene

I am in the story where you need to find Tula for the huntress. I then went back to the Atlant and began the spy story which lead into the dungeon sequence. I can view the first scene but then it freezes as the character level and depravity increases display. I am able to use the UI/menu and view other scenes back in the main menu gallery. But the game seems to freeze at the end of that scene.
Thankfully I made a second save there so I've only lost an hour or so play if I go back to my previous save and test work arounds.

I ended up going back to my previous stage which was just before the awakening of Hunting and then playing through again. I don't think anything really changed but the scene completed properly and then I was able to carry on and finish the first story run.
I don't think I made any noticeable changes so unsure why it worked the second time.
