You should try going into Big Picture mode in steam and ensure that steam sees the controller as well and verify the mappings there. (Big Picture mode uses the same library to access the game controller as RIVE does. SDL2) If the controller is incorrect there, simply correct the mappings in BPM and they *Should* work in RIVE after that.. (BPM exports the configuration to SDL2 based games)
Then, if you could run the "System information" program on your mac (it's in Applications/Utilities or just use spotlight to locate it). then look under USB or Bluetooth and locate the device in the list and then send me the Product ID and Vendor ID. That is what I need to figure out how to correct the mappings. (so I know EXACTLY which device you are using)

1: You just need to install SteelSeries GG on your Mac with a new or existing account. And install JoyKeyMapper from AppStore.
The mapper doesn’t find your controller, but don’t worry, it isn’t necessary.
2: If you have both installed both, just connect your Nimbus to your Mac and start Steam. Then open the big-picture-mode and push the A-button a few times. Your controller is now detected as an Xbox controller.
3: go to settings > controller settings > basic config > big picture config
>> use default, chose the left stick and ignore the warning >> here you can switch the direction from up to move down and otherwise.
!! Important: don’t use other controller settings in the game management or other fancy mapping options, it works only in the menu but not in the game.
4: start you game an go to options > gamepad > and set steam-input on (no automatic!!)
Hope you can enjoy! 😉
