Can't change 'Video Resolution' - No options to choose from
When I start RIVE it launches in fullscreen and something that looks like 640X480 or something analogous. Very low resolution anyway. 'No problem, I'll just change it in the options', I thought.

The thing is, there are no options to choose from in 'Video Resolution'. It's just a blank space between the arrows where you're supposed to be able to change resolutions. Any thoughts?

(Feel kinda dumb for asking but I haven't found a way to change resolution for specific games from the NVIDIA control panel. Is it possible? If so, how? Thanks.)

I don't have a top of the line computer, but I recently played DOOM on medium settings flawlessly, so I don't think RIVE should pose any problems.

Specs: Windows 10 Home, i7-3770K CPU @ 3,50Ghz, GeForce GTX 680 (with latest drivers).

Anyone else had the same problem? Thanks!

In "Video Resolution", you should be able to set the setting to a value between 50% and 100%, with 100% being true full screen.

Hi @dopefish and @hysel, sorry to hear you’re having this issue. Very weird! This is the first time we’ve heard about this problem since releasing in September, and we’re curious whether others are seeing this too (or rather, not seeing).

And if anyone is reading this who owns these same graphics cards without this problem, we'd also be interested to hear it!

First of all, sorry for my english

I had the same problem. I tried to change the resolution but i could not (same blank space in the menu). So, i changed some parameters in a txt called d3d9 in the main game folder (from 640x480 to 1920x1080) and the resolution changed

Hi Velaine, where did you find the d3d9 file?

@Verlaine, Happy to hear you found a solution. Mind sharing more details on your fix so others can take advantage too?

Ok, if you don't have that d3d9 file i think that d3d9 was created for a reshade i installed. Sorry, i wasn't sure if this txt was originally in the game :(

Furthermore, the only way i've found to play with this resolution (1920x1080) is in windowed mode, not fullscreen (fullscreen reset the resolution to 640x480, i don't know).

I'm going to work to find a better solution

Same here. When I switch to full screen, my monitor switches to 640x480. Maximizing the window uses high res, but has the white bar at top.

My monitors standard resolution is 1400 x 1050.

Eh i guess windowed could work, thanks. A fullscreen option would be nice tho!

Actually the "Borderless Gaming" app is only like $1 on sale right now and it seems to do the trick, launch Rive, that launch borderless gaming (might have to disable the steam hook in preferences), then go to view processess and add Rive to favorites. It's not as ideal as a true fullscreen for various reasons but at least it looks fullscreen.
