Can't join public games. :(

I've only played this game for a total of 2.5 hours but now I am completely unable to join public games.

Whenever I try to join a session, one of two things happen:

1.) I am immediately met with the "Return To Solo" message or

2.) my screen goes black for a second or two and then I get the "Return To Solo" message.



I've seen that others have also been experiencing this issue but does anyone know if a solution has been found or is this a "hope that the devs fix this soon" type of thing?

The usual uninstall and reinstall -> verify the integrity of files hasn't worked so I wanted to see if the community has seen something I haven't.

I'm not in the Discord and I don't really have people to play with besides randoms so I hope that this gets resolved or I'm just going to have to get a refund which I'd rather not do because the game is super fun. :c

SoggyPerk30 (commented below) was right about when you're banned from one session you're banned from all local sessions. I was kicked from one of my first games because I had no idea that "Dissident" meant that I needed to murder players so I completely goofed up the round and ended up getting kicked back to solo after the round was done. :<

I tested it just now and was able to join "Near" servers just fine with no issues! :D
I didn't know I got banned at all so I'm super happy that someone popped up with good info!

I had this happen yesterday, I was trying to join games that were almost full. Than I joined one that had 3 players, no issues. I truly think it's just bad timing and others joined just before you did and that's why back to solo.

I'm definitely going to keep trying, maybe we're all just doing the same thing at the same time LOL I've even gone as far as refreshing the lobbies, going to the last page and choosing a 1/8 lobby with no luck but I'm def gonna be stubborn about this.

This seems to be a very widespread issue that people are having after this last update (their Discord is flooded with people talking about this) so here's to hoping that this isn't actually an issue but all of us running into bad timing. D:

I believe they are having server issues today. I can start lobby personally and have friends join through steam. I have almost 20 hours of gameplay at this point and have only had problems today. I assure you the game is worth waiting for the servers to be fixed.

For sure, I definitely agree that this game is worth the wait! :D
I'm just gonna try waiting it out because the devs haven't said anything anywhere but I am hoping that they say something about this issue soon.

this happens to me to. in one of the recent patch notes it says if you are banned from one session you get banned from all local sessions i assume thats whats happening

Oof, that's harsh LOL I do remember getting kicked in one of my first games because I didn't know that "Dissident" meant I was a killer so I can only assume the person that kicked me also banned me and that this is the issue I'm running into. :(

Same, just got it, finally tried it for one session where it crashed, and now cant see any sessions. Would think by now it wouild be fixed.

I know the devs have been having issues with their internet so it could be with that. :(

I would recommend joining their Discord and posting about your issue in the Bugs Report sub-channel!
