There is controller support, but it seems like it might not be complete yet, so may be buggy in some cases. Haven't been able to personally test it. It does have a surprising amount of configuration that comes with it as is though.

After checking it a bit more, controller works perfectly fine, but the controls can't currently be remapped. There is no tutorial for the controls either, so it's trial and error to figure out the gamepad controls.

Using steam input still requires knowing what button/trigger does what in the case of this game. Also no, I don't own a Deck, as I prefer a monitor over small screens.
