Release for MacOS
Hi there,

Any chance you’re planning to release a version for Mac soon?

If you already have any updates or a timeline for a Mac release, could you let us know?

Thanks a lot!

Cheers!

Guess thread isn't about getting it to work but played it on my whisky[getwhisky.app] Steam installation (which is using GPTK) just running fine even on M1 Pro.

To add something valuable:
Building it for macOS would require the Devs at least some macOS Hardware, preferable a macMini starting from 600$ (+an Xcode license 100$/year)

Not so sure about Xcode though, many ppl tell this is a must but the actual macOS dev requirement[dev.epicgames.com] page of UE Editor tells

Unreal Engine also supports VS Code and Rider.

Then you can actually just install macos Unreal Engine Editor, Import the Project, File > Package Project > Mac

So if Devs even take care - I'd rather expect a Linux version first as you can simply (at least in UE4) Cross-Compile [dev.epicgames.com] for Linux right out of windows. Don't know for UE5 but u could just set up a simple Linux VM to import and compile a linux build in there....

I would recommend apple users to use bootcamp for lockdown protocol

Not available anymore since Silicon ARM macs were introduced almost 5 years ago now ;)

whisky/GPTK/Crossover is way more easy than a windows installation :ss13ok:
