Local Co-Op? (Couch Co-Op)

I'm liking the game so far (although the enemies health/damage seems to outpace my growth over time). I was wondering if there's plans anywhere in the road map to add couch co-op at some point. I love to play these sorts of Rogue Lites with my kids and this would be a ton of fun to play with them
