How to Activate the Warp Squid Points

I feel like I'm missing something obvious ... but can someone help me on this? How do I use those warp points?

Talk to them. When they ask if it's morning, say yes.

When you have woken up two of them, talk to them again for the teleport menu (which is basically the world map).

Thank you! Go figure, I tried every action except to try talking to them.
