Control problem in Magic Mode

I've seen this mentioned before, but I started seeing it a lot myself. When playing in Magic Mode, Shantae has a tendency to double attack without you trying to. What usually triggers it is whipping in the air, letting go of the directional button, and trying to move again immediately after hitting the ground. With a certain timing, she will freeze on the ground for a second and whip again even if the attack button is not pressed. A similar thing happens when crouching and whipping and then standing up quickly. I think it's prominent enough that it actually causes some problems and missteps in tight situations.

Yes, this is a known glitch. There are two basic instances of it. You jump and attack and depending of the frame you currently are while landing you'll either completely skip the landing animation or attack again and be unable to move for a short time.

It's pretty frustrating because I tend to get hit a lot.

I made a video about it, and one of the WayForward staff commented about the bug, so I hope it will get fixed soon.

I got the same issue but I managed to finish the game nonetheless. A fix would still be nice, though.
