What does upgrading do?
As the title says, what does upgrading a machine actually do? I've skimmed through the help and may have missed it, but I can't find an answer. Do they increase speed? Lower mortality rate? Increase output per cycle? All of the above or none at all?

The machines do it faster. At highest upgrade rate they produce one per second.
