Does this one have a mini-map or something?
I dropped the first one because of how awful navigating the floors was, the dev seem to have improved the combat, so maybe they made exploration actually enjoyable this time around.

there is no map

the combat isn't particularly good, but there is a pacifist mode where you can just not have enemy encounters (which is how i think this game should be played imo)

the level design itself is less labyrinthine, but progression is significantly more vague. if you didn't like exploration in the first game, you might not like it here either. this game is more about aimlessly running around and bumping to npcs and reading their odd bits of dialogue, and finding new trippy cutscenes to watch, etc

personally i think the game is brilliant but it's not gonna be for everyone. been following/playing this since the itch.io demo

My problem with the first games is that it was so hard to orient yourself because of how everything looked.
