is this game difficult/frustrating?
so i got this in a bundle and im intrigued.... but

I've been tricked before by "cute" childish looking type games thinking they will be relaxing and easy to play through only to find out they are incredibly frustrating and annoying-- like in the case of toki tori 2+.

I like to 100% games that I play so i would want to get all the coins, earn all the achievements in this if i decide to play it. is it an annoying game? does messing up a puzzle make u have to start whole sections over again? is the platforming hard? or is it actually a casual game where u can relax and play through everything with relatively no frustration?

maybe nice on a mobile... it´s played only by clicking with the mouse where you want shiny to fly to. so it´s not played with a controller like a platformer. it looks nice but gameplay su.cks bad on the pc. i can only recommend it for younger or casual gamers.
edit: can be played with a controller. i didn´t check that out yet, but i t won´t change much of the gameplay i guess.

ok thanks for the reply. so ur saying the gameplay is, in fact, very simple and childlike? sometimes i enjoy sitting back and playing a game that isn't challenging when i just want to relax and play some games without having to think to hard. but like i said, i have been fooled before

might become challenging...stopped playing because i expected pc controlls and no half-hearted touch-port. but like i said, maybe the patch changed a bit. i will give it another try. for 1.99 it´s not too bad i guess. check some gameplay videos, because i don´t know when i have time to play it..

I've been casually playing this while taking care of other things around the house. It's pretty simple game play: collect stuff while dodging enemies and complete the level in the fastest amount of time. Be prepared to die a couple times while you figure out the levels (some branch off), like a typical platformer. The hardest levels are the bosses, obviously.

You get three stars at the end of each level: one for collecting all the baby bugs, one for collecting all the coins, and one for beating/matching the par time. Get all these stars to get all the achievements.

I am playing this with my 360 pad with no issues (although I haven't figured out how to read signs without clicking on them).

Control with "Left Stick" ; "A" is dash ; "X" is land on ground (it'll explain in game) ; "B" is used to end the level ; "Left Bumber" puts on your light to attract baby bugs ; "Right Stick + Right Bumper" fires seeds to kill things.

It's an interesting game, but nothing to write home about.

Does anyone know about how much playtime I can expect to get out of this game?

I have the same problem CanadaDemon with reading the signs using a gamepad. Other than that the gamepad is far superior for controlling it.

As for how many hours you could get out of this game...I'd say around 5 at most probably. That's getting 100% and having some issues with skill in doing so. It's VERY casual, and not all that difficult to beat the levels except trying ot get all the stars in the time needed. The collection starts are really easy, but like ahs been mentioned it may take a few deaths to figure out where everything is in the levels.
