Jasmine or Princess Melusine?

Any comments on who is the better choice here in Jenna? First time I picked Jasmine (got an achievement) and then reloaded and picked Melusine. Then reloaded and picked Jasmine again and got no achievement. Odd.

Once acquired, an achievement cannot be lost (regardless of whether you reload or not).
As for Jas vs Mel, Mel is clearly more magic oriented.

Did not realize there were a choice thought you were supposed to pick Jasmine, have i been missing out on another potential companion then?

Picking Melusine "unlocks" different characters but keeping Jasmine is also interesting and has the potential to give a different ending.

I think for the first playthrough, it's best to pick Melusine, as you can choose from a much bigger range of characters who to have in the party. I've played both pathways, and I still can't make up my mind which one is 'best'.

I'm playing with Melusine, since Jasmine constant b****ing annoyed me, and now Melusines constant efforts to make Jordan noble annoy me even more

I amit, Jamine's snark is a fun and refeashing rection to Jordan's ego, there was times I was afraid I would disturb people from laughter.

I chose Jasmine. Apparently Melusine is more effective early on because of her spells, but later on(once Jasmine gets Battle Dance) Jasmine is pretty beastly. During the fights against Ego, and Luxury&Pride she was actually doing more damage than Jordan lol.

Jasmine can actually fight against Ego and Pride, whereas Melusine can't. ;)

At the risk of spoiling there is also another caster you can get in the ghost isles who, while tricky to get and underlevelled when you get her, can easily do the jobs you'd want Melusine to do whereas apart from a stinkin' racoon I have yet to find a replacement for Jasmine!

Then again, I'm bad at vidya gamez. :c
