Resolution issue 1920 x 1080

This game feels like its old when i can't even set the resolution to match my screen, tho it was amusing for a couple seconds to suddenly not be able to get in the game at all, when i noticed that somehow the game had decided to launch on my second screen instead.

So assuming max is 1600 but if you got 1920 like me, then it will be maxed out on 1280.Witch is not good enough, tho if i was really eager to play this i could just swap position with my screen but then again i am to lazzy to do that every time i feel like playing this game.

Normally i don't care for smaller resolutions but since this is a strategy it gets in the way.

wide screen not possible 1600*1200 is max at my system

maybe this info was the old nonesteam version but it dont work on steam version or is a joke

i tried to make them a pinned down thread so other dont waste time on settings
there need a hard code unoffcial patch to fix such, if such will ever be made by someone

Hi,

Imperial Glory was created when the standard resolution of monitors was 800x600 and 1024x768 at most.


This means that the game works toward finding the highest compatible resolution while maintaining this aspect ratio. Therefore widescreen is not officially supported.


Unfortunately we do not have a solution to make the game widescreen as the developers, Pyro, discontinued development work on the title a few years ago.

Yeah I feel you luckily I found a mod that enabled 1920 1080 to fit perfecto on my screen

What's a HOI3 Mod do for this game though (and HOI 3 supports 1920 anyway)? Just asking....

If you have an NVIDIA GPU there is an easy solution.

Open NVIDIA control panel, go to "Adjust Desktop Size And Position" , select the "Full Screen" button and check the box next to "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs".

Imperial Glory should then run on your widescreen monitor or TV without distortion or any messing with the registry or the game files. It's fine for me on a GTX 750TI running the game at 1280 X 1024.

I'm assumimg AMD card users have a similar control panel and can do the same, so just have a play around with your graphics card's settings.

This is great BUT my mouse is unusable unless I play in windowed mode and then the sceen is tiny again ! Any ideas ??

Sorry SGZ I don't have any suggestions on a fix. Not sure why this would affect your mouse input unless there is some specific setting in your mouse properties that is causing it?

I have the same feeling as you and i do hope the developer of this game will come to update it . this game it is somehow more chill out than some modern game to play such as Total War . Imagine if they upgrade all the graphics and resolution this game will be much more fun than Total War . [ Example - i just notice how the horse or cavalier move and run here look more naturally than in Total War game and the way how the Infantry change the position and form the square look really like a real soldier moving while total war somehow move abit weird. Anyway if we compare the graphics Total War graphic is of cause better million time ]

I wonder if the developer or the creator of this game is still alive or dead..he or she never come to answer the question when people complaining that the game crash and how to fix [ for modern windows ] ..i remember myself have to run around searching how to fix in youtube by just a youtuber...meh .....
