Controls

Q: What are the mouse and keyboard controls?
A: There are several buttons on the keyboard & mouse that are used for controlling the movement, firing and interacting with your Spartan.
  • Movement – Use the WASD keys to move.
  • Aiming & Firing – Move the mouse to aim, press the left mouse button to fire.
  • Melee Attack – Use the space bar to perform a melee attack.
  • Throw Grenades – Use the right mouse button to throw grenades.

A: Halo: Spartan Assault on Steam supports use of the Xbox 360 controller. Here are the controls for the movement, firing and interacting with your Spartan.

Q: What enemies will I encounter in the game?
A: You will encounter many Covenant enemies from the Halo universe, iIncluding Grunts, Elites, Brutes, Drones and Jackals.

A: You will have access to two UNSC tanks (Scorpion and Grizzly) and two Covenant vehicles (Ghost and Wraith).

Assault Ops

Q: What are Mission Assault Ops?
A: Each mission in Spartan Assault has 3 mission specific challenges. When you accomplish these, they contribute toward earning the Extra Credit Achievement, which requires you to complete the first 75 mission Assault Ops

Q: What are the Weekly Assault Ops I see in the game?
A: Each week there are 3 new challenges available in Spartan Assault. When you accomplish these, they reward you with large amounts of XP.

A: Here’s a list of all 25 Achievements you can unlock in Halo: Spartan Assault on Steam:
  • Recruit – Earn a star of any type in an operation mission
  • Overrun – Complete Operation A
  • Switched On – Complete Operation B
  • Switched Off – Complete Operation C
  • Evacuation – Complete Operation D
  • Terminated – Complete Operation E
  • Escort Service – Keep all Wolverines intact in Operation A, Mission 3
  • Nowhere to Hide – Finish the mission without any Jackal regenerating its shield in Operation B, Mission 3
  • Never Knew What Hit Them – Kill a convoy target with every stationary gun in Operation C, Mission 3
  • Brute Force – Finish the objectives using only the Brute Shot, melee and grenades in Operation D, Mission 1
  • Foot Soldier – Finish the objective without using any vehicle/turrets in Operation E, Mission 4
  • Prodigy – Earn your first gold star in an operation mission
  • 117 – Earn all Gold stars in all missions from Operation A to E
  • Pension Plan – Earn 25,000 XP throughout your career
  • Distinguished Service – Earn all medals in the campaign at least once

  • Skull Combo – Complete any campaign mission with the maximum number of Skulls active
  • Vidmaster Challenge – Complete Operation E, Mission 1 with the Hollow and Black Eye Skulls active
  • Extra Credit – Complete all campaign mission specific Assault Ops in campaign A to E
  • Archaeology – Complete Operation F
  • Silvertip – Destroy all Mega Turrets with the Grizzly tank in Operation F, Mission 2
  • Tour of Duty – Earn all Gold stars in Operation F
