Moderation?

Does anyone know if there ever will be any moderation tools added to the game?
i got called a jew and had slurs thrown at me a whole bunch of times and like. if this kind of thing isn't curbed early on like thed did in SS14 this place is probably going to be swarming with nazis real quick.

The entire appeal of official servers is they are self-moderated by their community. While I have encountered a few 'edgy' people coming into servers, they typically don't stick around for very long because people just don't interact with them, or they switch to Scum and end up getting killed over and over again.

There are moderated community servers, however, however they typically also see lower populations. We'll probably see moderated community servers, eventually, rise to the top as time goes on.

Nobody cares you used to throw the N word around in your old boomer cod days. I was there too and I never found it appropriate say slurs. It's not "tame" to call people the N word or any type of slur come up wit something different, since you've been around for so long

My brother and I are hosting a community server known as Endless Machine Roleplay. We do not tolerate slurs, racism, sexism, or any other kind of harassment towards players.
We also have a slightly higher drop rate of loot (4 instead of 3 per player per 10 minutes).

We'd be happy to have any of you guys join us. Our intent is for no admin interference. Just play the game as intended. If you wanna be a murdering psychopath, that's fine, but we will let the game punish you as it does by taking away anamnecytes. Be aware that gunning down everybody around you may encourage others to kill your character, then you'll have no anamnecytes to take on another fate and will need to earn them back.

Play carefully, and have fun. That's what we want.

if you dont mind playing on other regional servers you might see a difference, for example, i play on one Canadian server and one US server and i hardly see any large scale degeneracy on the Canadian server, only drawback is lag sometimes, but ill also say that moderation should be kept to the community servers. the heavy RP requirements, gatekeeping, and insider v outsider issues that come with moderation turn away alot of casual players. unless you want this to basically just be another Gmod darkrp server under a different title. let it be different. the best way to moderate and push RP onto players is through atmosphere and game mechanics. nobody wants to be banned by a neckbeard for "failed rp" take that ♥♥♥♥ back to gmod.

Like I get it you hate hearing things that make you feel bad and you think your a morally superior person "standing up" against it but like dude its the internet quit getting pressed and thinking the time you spend playing internet games means anything, gain control over your own life instead of trying to control things beyond you.

Coming home from the 9-5 to hear a squeaker threatening to r*pe and kill me while someone is mic spamming a song in the background is funny, and i'm tired of pretending like it's not.
